Humboldt Sharpshooters leaders open the range & have experienced coaches available for practices, and typically start just after Christmas.  Practices continue through out the season, but there is usually no Sunday practice on the weekend of a competition.

Come join the Humboldt SharpShooters for a day of gun safety & shooters education!

Our instructors will follow the Daisy 10 Lesson Curriculum for Shooting Education, and will cover topics such as:

·        General Gun Knowledge

·        Gun Safety

·        Proper Gun Handling

·        Shooting Techniques

·        Competitive Shooting

***Please note this is NOT a Hunt-Safe course!***

There are two opportunities to attend a class (but you will only register for one).

1.      January 28^th at the Humboldt elementary school.

2.      February 4^th at the Humboldt elementary school.

Registration is 8am. Class time is from 8:30am to 5pm on Saturday. Registration is FREE with an adult required to be in attendance.  Pre-registration is encouraged, as we only have room for 50 kids per weekend.

There will be lots of hands-on, interactive teaching; and we will have lots of fun!  HSS will supply all of the bb-guns, targets, and bb’s.  Meals and snacks will also be provided.  In the afternoon, participants will be in a 10-shot match from the prone position.  This will be a chance for the kids to show their parents what they have learned!

Humboldt SharpShooters

Our competitive shooting season starts February 5, 2012.  The Humboldt Sharpshooters is a shooting club that was established to promote shooting sports by providing shooting education to area youth.  Since 1998, our club has educated hundreds of kids in shooting sports and gun safety and has provided opportunity for shooters to compete locally and nationally.

Our club has a proud tradition of producing collegiate shooters, state and national champions and state and national record holders; while adding positive activity to youth’s lives through shooting sports. Through these efforts, the Humboldt Sharpshooters are producing champions in sport and in life.
